About Me Born October 28, 1985, the South Carolina singer/songwriter is boldly taking her place in the music industry. In what she cleverly describes as a “spiritual earthquake”, Laura Ann Wilson is shaking the nation, and with an astonishing voice, enchanting melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics, she is determined to shatter the stronghold of tradition in Gospel music. Laura’s very existence defines determination. The sixth of seven children, she and her mother survived a difficult childbirth, in spite of disbelieving doctors. Since then, Laura has been no stranger to disappointment; but actively fights against any opposition as a musical ambassador of God’s Kingdom. From early childhood, Laura has directed choirs, played instruments, and sang in numerous churches throughout the Southeast. Her remarkable talents (and her family’s renowned musical ability) quickly gained her local fame. Laura officially exploded onto the scene in February 2008 with the release of her debut album, Nayshon Shaka. With the help of producers Adrian Brown and Ramon “Drum Ducer” Gaskin, the project displays amazing versatility. Her gift of storytelling is evident in that her lyrics captivate from beginning to end. Though she writes from her own life’s experiences, listeners relate as she seems to tell their stories. Her career and ministry continually grow as she steadily gains the interest and respect of Gospel industry icons. In 2014 Laura graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelors in Music Production. Since then, Laura has been privileged to share the stage with artists such as Donald Lawrence, Deitrick Haddon, Kim Burrell, Canton Jones, Jonathan Nelson, Lejuene Thompson, Dottie Peoples, Darwin Hobbs, Rizen, Paul Porter, Mali Music and Tye Tribbett. Most recently traveling as Vocal Director for Travis Greene since 2014. Laura Vocally directed Stellar Award winnging album "The Hill". Though she admittedly has many musical influences (including her grandmother who is featured on the debut album), Laura Wilson’s extreme nature is far from an imitation. Her voice, her clothes, and every aspect of her style present a radical uniqueness, all a reflection of the anointing God placed in her. On stage, her ministry is engaging and effortless. Her praise is contagious and her worship can penetrate any barrier of difference or tradition.. Laura’s anointing is unique. Her uniqueness is a gift. Her gift changes lives
